Where am I from?
I grew up in rural Northern Ireland on a small farm. My mother still lives there, as do my brother and sister. I have lived in Cardiff, and worked near Bargoed in South Wales as a GP for 16 years. Alongside that I also worked in Cardiff University – doing research and teaching in primary care and medical education for 13 years, and then also worked as a primary care clinical director in Aneurin Bevan Health Board, and now as Associate Medical Director for Primary Care in NHS Wales Informatics Service.
What do I like to do?
I like to learn, and to understand. I believe in trying to make life as fair as possible for others. I want to be kind to those I meet and work with. I get great joy from bringing people together so that they have the chance to work together on these things.
